Item description
? One rooted starter plant of Rovada Red Currant (Ribes rubrum), grown from a cutting and measuring approximately 4-8 inches tall. Sent with roots wrapped in wet media while dormant (October-April) and potted in a plastic container during the growing season (April-September). Suitable for U.S.D.A. zones 3-8.
? Cannot send to Delaware, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, or West Virginia. Massachusetts, Michigan, and New Jersey require a permit. Can ship to Michigan with a permit.
? This Dutch red currant variety produces abundant, large, dark red fruit of excellent quality, ripening 3 to 4 weeks later than Jonkheer. Its attractive foliage, along with resilience to mildew and leaf spot, makes it an excellent choice for edible landscaping. The bright, shiny fruit clusters add ornamental value while providing a delicious ingredient for jams, jellies, and sauces, packed with vitamin C and potassium. Red currants are self-fertile, ensuring a productive harvest.
? These plants are both practical and ornamental, featuring lush foliage and vibrant berries that enhance garden aesthetics. Their late-season fruiting makes them an excellent complement to earlier currant varieties, extending the fresh fruit season. Thriving in a range of soils, they perform well in full sun to partial shade with minimal care.
? Orders are sent using fast mailing methods to ensure plants arrive in excellent condition. Sent with tracking within the United States. International buyers should contact before purchasing, as not all countries allow plant imports. Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving the order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
