Item description
Vintage Arkadia pattern designed in 1938 by Trude Petri and Siegmund Schutz to mark the 175th anniversary of the porcelain manufacturer KPM / Royal Berlin
Each piece (except the lids) is adorned with one of a series of bisque medallions that represent life in the pastoral paradise of Arcadia
KPM the Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin is known for the fine quality and stylish design of its porcelain. Named by Prussian King Frederick the Great in 1763, the company is represented by his blue sceptre on the back of its pieces, and is still in operation today
Marked "Made in Germany U. S. Zone" on the bottom
Set consists of a coffeepot or teapot and lid (5 OE inches tall), a sugar bowl and lid (2 OE inches tall), and a creamer (2 5/8 inches tall)
Coffee or tea pot medallion shows Trudie Petrie 1938 design of Galathee
Measures about 5 1/4" tall x 8 1/2" wide (teapot)
Pre-owned, good condition, no chips, cracks, crazing, or any other visible imperfections
