Item description

Canna Pretoria aka Bengal Tiger
1 rhizome - 2 to 3 eye size.
Undoubtedly the most well-known of the colored leaves cannas and a 'love-it or hate-it' plant. No one can miss the huge, pale green leaves with yellow veins and thin purple ribbons. Stems are plum colored and all of this is crowned with large, bright orange flowers! Up to 6 feet tall.
Cannas are winter hardy in zones 7 and above. In cooler climates, cut off the foliage and dig up the rhizomes in the Fall after the plants have been blackened by frost, shaking off the soil. Store them in barely dampened peatmoss or shredded newspaper in a frost-proof place (basement or garage). They can be planted out as soon as the ground has warmed in the spring.
Plant Info:
Light: Full Sun
Soil: any well-drained
Hardiness: USDA Zone 8-10
