Item description
Note: This listing is for the shade only. The lamp base shown in some photos is for scale and fit demonstration purposes and is not included.
The inside rim of glass measures 11 3/4'' so you probably need a lamp with a 12'' structure to hold the globe.
The height is about 5 inches from bottom to top and it is wider than 12 inches that is just where it needs to sit.
Beautiful antique hand-painted glass lamp shade featuring delicate pink roses with green foliage. This mushroom-style shade has a 10-inch fitter and is signed (appears to read ?A. Ponseca? or similar ? artist unknown).
The painting is done on the outside of the glass (not reverse-painted), and the style is consistent with early 1900s decorative lighting, particularly from the Pittsburgh Lamp Or Bradley Hubbard era. This shade would pair well with bases made by Bradley Hubbard, Miller, or similar manufacturers.
Pictures of lamp on and off. I will list the base seperatly if you want I just didn't think it was a perfect match.
Condition: No cracks or structural damage. Minor wear to the painted surface and a few tiny nicks near the fitter edge, consistent with age. Paint remains vibrant and intact.
A gorgeous collector piece for vintage lighting restoration or romantic cottage-style decor.
