Item description
Vintage 1920's Vanity Trinket or Soap Dish - looks like it could be used for trinkets or bar soap.
Dresser Keepsake
Amber colored with a few darker streaks marbled throughout Scalloped rim
Measures: 5" long X 3.5" wide .75" high
Condition: has some dirt that will not come off on scalloped edge and in some crevices and what looks like a cigarette burn. Maybe the owner used it as an ashtray in a pinch? It has no odors at all, so it's hard to say. It also has the remnants of a piece of tape on the bottom. See all photos as they are part of the description.
Celluloid or Bakelite? - I'm no expert on exactly what type of plastic was used, but it is definitely from 1920's because I have the history that it was given to a girl by her aunt when she was 7 years old and she was born in 1920. It might've been used when it was given to her in 1927 so the dish could be older than 1920's.
Comes from a smoke and pet free home
