Item description
Collectible Plate The Snow Leopard (#1199) by W.W. George Pottery Fine China by Naturalist Artist Will Nelson and distributed by the Bradford Exchange in Des Plaines, Illinois. Nimble, elegant and solitary, the snow leopard is the rarest and most beautiful of the big cats-but unfortunately, one of those most threatened with extinction. Bradex Number: 84-G20-15.2, actual diameter: 8 inches. It is plate number 716H and is the second issue in the Last of Their Kind: The Endangered Species collection. Will Nelson, the recipient of many major awards, including those from the Academic Arts Association, Creative Arts magazine, and the Printers Guild, has achieved widespread artistic recognition. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions nationwide and are included in many corporate and private collections in both the United State and Canada. He continues his collection of studies dedicated to the preservation of threatened world wildlife. The plate has been kept in the box since purchased and never exposed to the elements and therefore is in excellent condition.
