I already had one brand new pump when I bought this so I can tell that this is an older model. The breast shields are attached to the portion that gets screwed onto the bottles so it's impossible with my bra to pump hands free. Since I already have a pump, I am just using the breast shields that cane with my new pump. The pump also makes a little extra noise, which does not seem to affect the pumping though.
I absolutely Love the newer version of this and would recommend it to everyone.
