Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the 1940's murder mystery/drama, DANGEROUS INTRUDER, released in 1945 by PRC and directed by Vernon Keays. An actress, Jenny (Veda Ann Borg), is hitchhiking across the country when she is accidentaly struck by a car. The driver, Max Ducone (Charles Arnt), offers to take her into his home until she can resume traveling. Later, Ducone's wife is murdered and Jenny determines to find the killer. With the aid of detective Curtis (Tom Keene as Richard Powers), she discovers that Ducone is the murderer, having killed his wife in order to have the funds to finance his antique collection. The cast includes Fay Helm, John Rogers, and Jo Ann Marlowe. The design is reminiscent of the great Film Noir posters of the 1940's and depicts the film's heroine, Veda Ann Borg, hiding behind a drapery with an image of leading man Charles Arnt strangling another man. Folded as originally issued, it is unrestored in god- condition with random paper loss, creases and yellowed pieces of Scotch tape in the borders; light areas of separation at the center crossfolds; and an extra fold that is off-center. A prior owned had affixed 1 in. clear tape across the top border and then affixed small hole punches at various places in the top border. The rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
