U.S. single-weight glossy restrike photograph (not a vintage original photograph printed at the time it was taken but one printed from the original negative at a later time) from the classic silent film horror drama/romance, THE UNKNOWN, released in 1927 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and directed by Tod Browning. A criminal on the run (Lon Chaney) hides in a circus and seeks to possess the beautiful daughter (Joan Crawford) of the ringmaster at any cost. The image features an exterior nighttime shot of Antonio Zanzi (Nick De Ruiz), the ringmaster of a circus, as he creeps around the circus camp at night. Printed from the original negative, most likely in the 1950's, this vintage restrike photograph is in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws. The image quality is very sharp with fine detail and nice contrast.
