They are most commonly used with belts, collars, rifle slings, shoulder straps, bag straps and more. The webbing is attached to the center bar on the slide. Then the webbing is threaded through your ending hardware and threaded back through the slide going up and over the center bar, down through the other side of the slide out to your ending hardware on the other side of the strap.
