Item description

Overseas: Please read terms of service regarding Registered Mail delivery. This is a very rare, vintage phonograph record album entitled, "100% Unknown Fibers Odd-Lots". Record label: Stuff, as etched in the runoff. AI can better state what this record is, its value, and its rarity. I've pasted it's wordage below. Condition of record is visually graded Pristine Mint. I seriously think that I'm the first person to have ever removed it from its sleeve. I'm certain that it has never been played. I refrained from playing it myself, as I want it to retain its "Pristine" grade. Playing it would invalidate that grade. As per the information below, it is a very crude, personal recording and doesn't have great sound quality anyway. Cover is graded VG++ (very good ++), only due to it's age-yellowing and light fade of the name at the bottom right as shown. There are no split seams or edge wear. The inner sleeve has browned with age as shown. Payment method as stated. Shipping/Handling as stated. Domestic quote is for Delivery Confirmation, Signature and Insurance cost. Overseas: Shipping quote required for Delivery Confirmation, Signature and Insurance cost. ******************************************************************************* AI description and information: 100% unknown Fibers Odd-Lots record album story about the album The record album: 100% Unknown Fibers: Odd-Lots is a rare and unofficial live recording of a heavy psychedelic rock concert held at the "Laguna Beach Happening" on Christmas Day, 1970. Released in 1971 without permission from the performers or event organizers, the album was a limited, private pressing of only 200 copies. The story behind the album: The concert: The source of the recording, the Laguna Beach Happening, was a free gathering held at a park near the beach in Southern California. The event brought together musicians and a crowd of local hippies and bohemians. The bands who performed were likely local acts, and their identities were never revealed on the album, creating the "100% Unknown Fibers" mystery. The recording is crudely done and captured directly from the event, preserving the raw and intense atmosphere of the concert. The packaging: The original vinyl record was minimalist and mysterious, reflecting its clandestine nature. Label: The record label was an unofficial "Stuff Records" or "Not On Label". Sleeve: The LP came in a plain white jacket with the title stamped on the cover. Insert: Some copies of the album included a letter insert, providing additional details or context for the unusual release. Rediscovery and reputation: Decades after its release, record collectors and psychedelic music specialists began to take notice of the mysterious album. Its obscurity, scarcity, and raw psychedelic sound have made it a holy grail for fans of rare underground rock and private pressings. As one music collector explained, its lack of credits and gritty, intense music created an enigmatic aura that was highly valued by rare record specialists. _________________________________________ The 1970 live album 100% Unknown Fibers - Odd-Lots was a super rare, crudely recorded heavy psych LP by the group The Jokers, pressed in a limited run of only 200 copies by Hippedelic Records. It was recorded without permission at the "Laguna Beach Happening" on Christmas Day, 1970, features no track separation on the vinyl, and was sold as a stamped white label release with a plain jacket. Despite its rough recording quality and underground origins, the album is considered highly sought after by psych-rock collectors. Key Details: Band/Artist: The Jokers (as identified by WUNC) Album Title: 100% Unknown Fibers - Odd-Lots Year: 1970 Genre: Heavy psych-rock Recording: Live at the Laguna Beach Happening on Christmas Day, 1970 Production: Crudely recorded, released without the artist's or event organizer's permission Format: Stamped white label with a plain jacket Limited Release: Only 200 copies were made Track Structure: While there's no vinyl separation, there are seven distinct musical tracks with spoken interludes. Significance: The album is an example of a rare and cult underground release that gained a reputation within the heavy psych and record collecting communities for its raw sound and unique history. Its limited pressing and unauthorized recording make it a coveted item for collectors of the era. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
