UP FOR SALE IS Deer fern, Hard fern, Ladder fern, Blechnum spicant, (SEEDS) 1000 SPORES Deer ferns make a small rosette of neat, broadly radiating, leathery, dark-green fronds about 10"-12" long, from the center of which arise a vertical group of very different spore bearing fronds up to 30" high. it prefers light shade, humus rich, regular to moist soil. it can withstand a short drought. This unique fern is an excellent choice when a landscape or garden needs a pop of color in a shady to partly sunny area of your yard or property, in the center of mixed pots or brighten up the back of the boarder. Deer fern is deer and rabbit resistant and is not bothered by bugs, slugs or disease. perennial hardy Zone: 4-9 Sun: part sun, full shade to dappled shade Water: regular to moist Soil: rich, well-draining soil. Height: up to 24" to 30" tall and 18"-24" wide. Bloom time: no flowers. difficultly: easy I send directions with all spores. spores are easy to grow as long as you follow my directions and have patience, they will take about 6 months from planting to having a little fern. 1000 spores can yield allot of ferns. you will need a plastic lidded container, a spray bottle and clean potting soil. the best lighting to use is a regular florescent bulb. fancy plant lights aren't any better and are a costly waist of your money.
