Item description

? Up for sale is ONE ANTONOVKA apple tree (Malus Antonovka), a 1-2 year old seedling standing 12-18 inches tall, suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 3-8. ? Antonovka is a popular medium-sized green/yellow cooking apple, ripening in the early to mid-season. Originating in 19th-century Russia, it quickly gained popularity in the northern USA for its exceptional cold-hardiness. This variety is not self-fertile and falls under Pollination Group 3. Known for its hardiness, Antonovka apples breed “close” to type and are large, green, and tart. While best enjoyed cooked, they are also excellent for attracting wildlife. ? During summer (May through September), the tree is sent in a container with soil, with leaves removed or cut short to conserve water, securely packed in a mailing tube or box. ? In winter (October through April), the tree is sent bare root, with roots wrapped in wet media to maintain moisture during dormancy. ? Shipping is available via First Class Mail in the USA and internationally. Combined shipping is available for multiple items—please ask if interested, and I will do my best to accommodate. ? International orders are sent soil-less, bare root, with roots wrapped in wet wood shavings, well packed for long travel. Please check your local laws for plant entry requirements, as we are not responsible for confiscated items. A tracking number is provided with every purchase. ? Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur with the item while it is on the way to you, contact us the very same day, describing the issue and attaching pictures so we can assess it.
