Item description

1934 Vintage Art Postcard QSL Card W3EGL Norwood Station A truly unique handmade QSL Card by "Richard Jason F." Postmarked Feb. 13, 1934 For the heck of it I Googled W3EGL and found that a Robert Hoops, of Watsontown, PA is W3EGL as of 2013. awarded The Henry Broughton, K2AE, Memorial Scholarship) Striking artistic QSL Card Postcard bearing only minimal QSO information which appears to be written in a hand drawn scroll. This is a pre-printed 1 cent Jefferson Postal Post card so it is possible that the artwork was hand drawn, probably in India ink, (black and sepia) as some of the black areas have uneven edges and uneven coverage. The return address along the top was "lined-up" using two faint penciled ruler lines. Although I am not all too familiar with some of the "codes", the bottom right corner of the front of the card is a series of letters that I am sure mean something to amateur radio operators. Unfortunately, Whitey is no longer with us to be able to explain it. CONDITION : No pin holes, rips or creases. There is one small brownish spot in the top area of the scroll and similar discoloration on the back (address side along the top edge and top corners, that appears to have bleed through to the artwork side. Corners and edges are in fair condition, only showing slight signs of wear and age. The Norwood Station Postmark is clear and readable, and only slightly obscures the pre-printed postage. ******** Hello there, thank you for stopping by to look at my items!.
