An exceptionally pretty gold plated fine 800 European silver filigree violet bouquet brooch circa 1940. This stunning brooch is entirely handmade. The work is astonishing with the entire floral brooch being made from fine silver lacework. It looks just like real life sized violets made from exquisite French lace. It is clearly marked just below the violet bouquet on the front 800 for European silver. The piece has been finished with fine gold plating which was very popular at the time. This darling brooch is in lovely condition there is some wear to the vermeil finish which is to be expected for it's almost 80 years. The violets measure 2 1/4" wide by 1 5/8" tall by 1/2" deep approximately (58mm x 42mm x 13mm). On the reverse the pin secures with an early safety clasp MAKE OFFER WELCOME!
