The active substance in Carsil, silymarin, is isolated from the fruit of the plant white thorn. Silymarin activates protein and phospholipid synthesis in damaged liver cells, stabilizes their cell membranes, binds free radicals (antioxidant action). Its main action is to protect the liver cells from the harmful effects of various factors such as alcohol, medicines, viral infections, industrial pollutants. The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, wheat starch, povidone K25, polysorbate 80; silica, colloidal anhydrous; mannitol, crospovidone, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium stearate.
