Item description

This listing is for 30 oz. of Raw Native Terracotta Oklahoma Moist Clay for $11.99. Frankoma was using a clay like this one for his works. I make this clay myself from the central Oklahoma region. The clay has been mined with shovel, wet screened and racked, then slowly dried hand wedged the old fashion way. This Terracotta clay body is light orange because the place I mine it from has about 30-40% Pure Blue White Volcanic Bentonite Clay mixed in which gives more plasticity and strength. Good for sculpting, air dry, throwing, mud masks, slips and more. Low fire as you would any Low Fire/Earthenware Cone 06-3 (1850 F - 2135 F) This is the clay I work with here in my own studio. I think you will also enjoy working with my truly raw native clay. Thank you for looking!
