50-100 AD BRONZE ANCIENT ANTIQUITY RELIC PAIR of ROMAN POTTERY PEACOCK URN VASES Presenting a rare, pair of ancient antiquity relics, from the historical time period of 50 AD-100 AD. A magnificent pair of genuine, bronze Roman urn vases with ornate detail including double peacock motif with enchanting scallops at top. Incredibly majestic in demeanor, quite regal actually. Their faces display a sense of pride coupled with regal flair. History and provenance below. Acquired by my father in the 1990's during his time in the antique business. He used to own 2 antique stores and an art gallery. He believes they are sand cast bronze and each has a significant ring when you flick the bronze. There is an enormous amount of patina on each vase, which denotes the age of the pieces. The color tones and striations from the patina are stunning. These beautiful antiquities came from Tyre, Lebanon , which was a major Roman port during ancient times. During the time period of 50 AD to 100 AD urn vases were used to hold cut flowers on an alter.
