I am sure we can resolve it if something went wrong during the trip. Don’t send me pictures of it 7-10 days after receiving it. As we can not control your watering methods and conditions you keeping the plant in – we can not replace it if you did not reported problem right away. Please understand that plants are live organisms and they need to be nourished and taken care of. Do not use potting soils with time released fertilizers in them (like Miracle potting soil),as most of them are expired and will burn roots after transplanting into that soil.

? Six fresh scion cuttings of Akebia trifoliata australis, commonly known as Chocolate Vine or Three-Leaf Akebia. These cuttings are for propagation purposes and will not have leaves or roots. They will be freshly cut, wrapped in damp media, and secured in a box for mailing within the United States.
? This fast-growing deciduous climber can reach up to 29 feet and thrives in U.S.D.A. zones 5-8. It flourishes in a variety of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils, and can adapt to full shade, partial shade, or full sun. The plant produces deep-purple sausage-shaped fruits, which have a mild, sweet flavor and are sometimes enhanced with lemon juice. Dried young leaves can be used as a tea substitute.
? Blooming from early to late spring, Akebia trifoliata australis features monoecious flowers, meaning individual flowers are either male or female, but both are present on the same plant. The seeds ripen between September and October. It is often found in semi-deciduous forest margins, along valleys, and near streams in its native range of China, Japan, and Korea.
? In addition to its edible uses, the plant’s peeled stems are highly pliable and can be used for basketry. Propagation is typically done via seeds, cuttings, or layering. Fresh seeds germinate within 1-3 months at 59F, though stored seeds may require cold stratification. Half-ripe cuttings taken in summer or root cuttings in winter are also viable propagation methods.
? Orders are sent at the beginning of the week (Monday or Wednesday) via First-Class Mail with tracking. International buyers should contact us before purchasing, as not all countries allow plant material entry. Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving the order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
