Thanks to a fellower I found out more about this item. These are vintage (pre July 1, 1963) DELUXE PEACOCK TUMBLERS . Photos of glasses are actually upside down. The drip part is actually the coaster part of the drinking cup - currently not able to re-photograph. These are very retro, and are made with a liner so that the contents whether it be hot or cold would not effect the outer aluminum part you were holding. The coaster part, just a decorative look to help protect the surface it was sitting on. Previous owner cut out Pringle lids and put a foam on them to cover the top part, I suppose to keep dust out. Originally it had a absorbent removable liner based on the packaging info. Those foam linings are really dried up and brittle, putting in a separate bag, as they really don't need to be used anyway. The off white liner coaster reads FEDERAL TOOL CORP. CHICAGO ILL, MADE IN U.S.A., and has a white, off white marble look to it.
