Here is a Hard-To-Find, ANTIQUE "Tin Pope Leo XIII Commemorative Medal Coin Style Pendant". My neighbor’s grandparents emigrated to the United States in 1915 from Italy and this Pendant came with them. Passed down to his father on the occasion of his first Holy Communion, it was given to my neighbor for his first Communion too. Getting ready to move to a smaller home, he has asked me to help him sell what he’s not taking with him, including this Pendant. With a NICE Warm Patina and age appropriate wear, it is in EXCELLENT Condition with NO damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. With a diameter of approximately 3/4ths of an inch, the front shows a profile of Pope LEO XIII with the words “LEO XIII PONTIFEX MAXIMUS" around the edge and a raised depiction on the back surrounded by the words “LUMEN II COELO - 1878-1902 - Anno XXV PONTIFICATI”. History is precious, as well as timeless and this HANDSOME Religious Medal has a LOVELY, DELICATE design and a built in bail that needs a jump ring so it can easily be hung on any chain. Pope Leo XIII was head of the Catholic Church from February 20, 1878 until his death in 1902. He was the oldest pope, and had the third-longest confirmed pontificate, behind that of Pius IX and John Paul II.
