To make a symbol, the craftsman first cut the yak bone into small blocks and then sand them down by hand; then the yak bone is dyed a dark brown using tea; the last step is to hand carve the symbol onto it. Making such a necklace requires a long and tedious process. BTW, the bracelet can be fastened by using the slide bead, very easy to adjust!
