Item description

A Coin silver spoon POSSIBLY made by the ancestors of LUNT/TOWLE.......But research cannot confirm this punch.....DBA.....Many smiths combined their talents before the monopoly.......BARTON.....possibly envolved.......about 1820 corp. change began to eat away at the individual smith....much like the robot to the toolmaker, advances in tool efficiency would phase him out.....sidewalls of spoon are to robust for N.Y.silver so were on point with new england......my assesment.....a rare spoon,an a welcome addition to a serious flatware collection.....PATINAcorrect.....,no damage.......9 1/2 in.
