The frame is made of cast iron, and is done in a lovely, ornate design with fabulous intricate detail. I am unsure of the age or origins of the stool. It is in particularly good condition, with only some very minor surface rust in a few areas that should clean off easily. The spacer support is wrought iron twisted, and the sides are just beautiful. The seat is solid wood beneath the upholstery. The stool is 17.5” tall, 24” wide, 12” deep. It is a beautiful ornate old iron footstool. It is a must have item for any antique collector.
