Antique Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Charger Seal Mark of Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi Large Chinese famille rose pattern plate / Charger/ Platter, measuring 14 inches 35.5 cm diameter. Bird and butterfly designs with pink roses (aka peonies) and scenes of courtyard life, there is an additional 1.5" outter band that depicts books, parchment roles with more flowers possibly suggesting a graduation or something to do with education. Gold rim, highlights and central circular band. The rear has a what appears to be 2 makers marks along with the Chinese red underglaze seal mark for Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi or "Great Qing Qianlong Period Make". This is for the period 1736-1795. However, given the propensity to copy marks, this plate is probably early 20th century. I leave it up to you to decide. It has a matte appearance and feel, and raised feel to the enamels. A bit of dirt yellowing to the rear with no damage other than normal age wear which should be expected and 3 pieces of felt attached to protect the plate where it rests.
