I really don't know much about this other than it is old and very ornately made. ESTATE SALE PURCHASE. 28 gems in all...half green and half red. Metal wire design throughout. Still closes nicely and all gems are intact and not missing. 2" in diameter, 1 1/8" tall I can find no markings. I am guessing this is either a snuff container or pill box. I am not sure of the metal or gem content. It is non magnetic and might be STERLING SILVER WIRE over some other type of metal...use your best judgement. THIS COULD BE WORTH MUCH MORE THAN I AM ASKING! Please see questions and ask any questions before purchase.
