There are a few spots on the back that in the images look like chips on the green stripes, but they are not. You can see the red paint under where the green should be and if it were a chip the paint of both colors would be missing. I believe when this was painted, something happened to smudge the green paint, and they just didn't fix it. We pride ourselves on packing items well and shipping them quickly.
