It was tagged Wood Anatomical Heart Sculpture. I looked at it for a long time trying to wrap my head around why it seemed so disturbing to me. Then I remembered we had just had a Stranger Things Marathon and it reminded me of the meat monster mind flayer. ICK! This would make a very interesting conversation piece. Would also look amazing as Halloween Decoration. It has an intriguing and spooky vibe all at the same time. The artist was successful in making you think and creating an emotion for sure. It is made from gnarled wood nailed together and with a reddish lacquer that makes it look bloody and meaty Just be careful with it, there are many tiny nails in the sculpture and you could draw real blood if not careful.
