Item description

Two screen prints in original artist supplied mats as typically offered at the local Boardwalk art show here in Virginia Beach. I do not know for sure that this artist ever set up there but I would think it likely, however they came into my hands they now are available. I have had them for some time already, I tend to think these are examples of his earlier work. There is already just the start of some age spots on the paper they are printed on, they deserve a trip to a good frame shop for conservation and framing. Complete mat of #1 about 13" x 16" and has a back mat as well, the other about 13 1/2" x 16 1/2" with just the front mat you see, but the inlay areas with art are the same at about 6 1/4" x 8 1/2". Both signed and numbered in pencil, #1 is 2/13 and #2 is 5/14. I do not know if the series continued beyond these two examples but we are probably lucky enough to have a set of even two. Other examples of this artists print work are being offered by dealers at close to $300 EACH so I have to think there could be a collector bargain waiting here. I bought these for my own art collection a good while ago and I do like them but like many I have the expenses backing up, and they aren't doing anybody any good sitting unseen in a stack of old paper so it is time to move them on.
