Item description

This is a 1950s reproduction of an 18th-century dental extraction tool known as a ?tooth key.? Made by Astra as a promotional item for their dental supply division in the U.S. market, this piece is an accurate replica of the type of tool dentists used as early as 1740. The design mimics the original functional form, with a turned shaft and curved claw used to grip and twist teeth during extraction. Though not an original antique, this historically correct reproduction is now collectible in its own right?a striking example of mid-century promotional craftsmanship and a great conversation piece for collectors of dental, medical, or oddball curiosities. Shows light surface wear and patina consistent with its age. Ships out next business day with free insurance. Buy with confidence - check out our feedback!
