Age is for references in general, it's recommended to measure the kid's foot plus 3/8" and pick the size accordingly. The dye on the suede can fall off after contacting water. If skin gets the dye, simply wash with soap and water. The dye is safe in touch with skin. While wearing the shoes, try to stay away from wet environment. Suede leather are delicate, but beautiful. You can measure it from top to end of the shoe sole and compare with my Chart. Refer to the Insole length column. Then pick the size based on how much growing room you'd like to add.
