This is a vintage set of egg shaped ceramic salt pepper shakers, hand painted in a pretty floral design and sitting in a basket. They are only marked "Italy," so I don't know the maker. I'm also not sure how old they are, as I picked them up at an estate sale years ago and I've never been able to find another set like it to compare to or get any info from. The shakers have little cork stoppers and they don't fit snugly anymore (I think maybe cork shrinks a bit when it gets older, but that's just me guessing), so I usually display this set with the stoppers out and stored away (no one can see the bottoms anyway, and I don't actually use the shakers). They could probably be tinkered with in some way to make them stay properly in place, but I never wanted to mess with them. Anyway, that's really the only issue to mention. There are no chips or cracks, all of the paint is intact, and the set is really lovely. Nice for Easter, but really they could be displayed all year 'round. Asking $10.00 obo.
