Item description

You will receive a perfectly Fall Gold Raspberry starter plant that is 3-5 inches tall. Golden raspberry plants bear a mutated version of the common red cultivar, but they have all the same planting, growing, soil, and sun requirements. Golden raspberry plants are primocane bearing, meaning they bear fruit off the first year canes in the late summer. They tend to have a sweeter, milder flavor than their red counterparts and are pale yellow to orange-gold in color. Raspberries require a soil pH between 5.6 and 6.5, which is considered slightly acidic. The soil should be kept moist ? 1 to 1.5 inches of water a week is recommended ? but must drain well, as soggy soils can lead to root rot. Fertilizer is also key for raspberry plants, which are considered "heavy feeders." We recommend 31.5 cubic feet of composted manure per 100 square feet of planting space. Full sun, which is equal to six hours of sunlight a day, is ideal for most types of raspberries, including those that produce golden raspberry fruit. While raspberry plants will grow in part shade, this will result in fewer fruit, according to the University of Minnesota Extension. Mulching raspberries with a layer that is 2 to 3 inches thick will help control weeds. Leaves, lawn clippings and wood chips are good mulch options for raspberry plants because they are free of weed seeds. #liveplant #bareroot #starterplant #seedling #plant #SeedsForSale #PlantSeeds #GardenSeeds #OrganicSeeds #GrowYourOwn #SeedlingsForSale #HomeGardening #VegetableSeeds #FlowerSeeds #HerbSeeds #SeedsForSale #GardenSeeds #PlantSeeds #GrowYourOwnFood #OrganicSeeds #SeedStarter #HomeGardening #HerbSeeds #VegetableSeeds #FlowerSeeds #PlantsForSale #Houseplants #GardenPlants #IndoorPlants #OutdoorPlants #PlantLovers #Succulents #FloweringPlants #RarePlants #PlantParent #seeds #seed #home #garden #beautiful #tree #flower #rose #bonsai #liveplant #fruit #vegetable #usa #usaseller #blooming #winter #summer #cutting #bareroot #spring #gift #fall #autumn #shrub #herb #root #houseplant #bulbs #gardening #plants #usaseller #grafted #pot #seedling #starterplant #rooted #yard #grass #trailing #balcony #cutflowers #OrganicSeeds #HeirloomSeeds #VegetableSeeds #FlowerSeeds #HerbSeeds #FruitSeeds #GardenSeeds #SeedStarter Kits #RareSeeds #BulkSeeds #IndoorGardeningSeeds #SeedCatalog #SeedPacksforSale #SustainableSeeds #GreenhouseSeeds #Seed Suppliers #PlantingSeeds #HomeGardenSeeds
