Very Good condition for the age, no apparent damage. Estimated to be 19th century German manufacture although there are no identifying markings. Appearance wise there are a few dirt specks and small areas that should have a light cleaning which can likely be done with just about anything however I have not cleaned or retouched it in any way. There is what looks like a pencil mark at the bottom of her throat. About 9 1/2" tall this woman of quality gazes wistfully at some unknown idol of her adoration. Her coloring and decoration are very similar to a male figure we also have offered and I might think they were a pair except she is taller. Given the popularity of operetta and musical theater in late Victorian and Edwardian times, it may well be that she is admiring some stage figure.
