Hopalong faces an outlaw who's both large and at-large, the Twin River Giant. Pistol-Packin' Pattie's latest bon mots are illustrated by future Mary Perkins cartoonist Leonard Starr. Plus a vintage Tootsie Roll ad, Captain Tootsie Traps Killer Bear with Invisible Light, with art by Shazam co-creator CC Beck, and a hair-cream ad featuring detective Sam Spade. Cover by comics and fine-art legend Everett Raymond Kinstler. Cover price $0.10. The comic is complete and in GOOD condition with some overall wear that includes some back cover soiling. The upper right corner of the front cover has a piece missing. There is a small "v" shaped piece missing out of the bottom edge of the front cover. There is a small round/u-shaped insect chew through the top edges of most of the pages of the comic that doesn't extend into the art. One of the Hopalong Cassidy coupons has been clipped from the last page. (see pictures) Mint (MT) (Overstreet) Nearly perfect in every way.
