HEAVY METAL NECKLACE Big Beautiful Beaded 10 oz Gunmetal Gray Hematite BEADS 18" This is a BIG BEAUTIFUL BEADED HEAVY METAL VINTAGE NECKLACE! This necklace has the most amazing gunmetal gray Beads! The beads are all uniform in size and are H-E-A-V-Y!!!! Are they metal? Seems so. Might they be hematite? Uncertain. There is some statements out there that true hematite is not magnetic - and these beads are not. They also are not attracted to a magnet. Does that make them hematite or a type of metal? This is not clear. The wires used to string the beads has a very primitive construction. The ends are simply twisted to the chains of the clasp ends rather roughly. It would take a strong wire or chain to hold these heavy beads however. The entire necklace weighs almost 10 ounces! It is a fantastic looking necklace with a great heft and weight to it! WILL REALLY DRAW THE EYE WHEN WORN - A BIG STATEMENT PIECE! METAL: Silvertone, Gunmetal Gray MATERIAL: Metal or perhaps hematite CLASP: Lobster clasp with extension chain MEASUREMENTS : 18" in length but can be adjusted somewhat shorter with the lobster clasp and extension chain. The beads measure 14mm. CONDITION: This piece of jewelry is in pre-owned and vintage used condition. The beads are very heavy and appear to be heavy metal, but might also be hematite? They are not magnetic. All beads are present, there are none missing. The construction of the wire is primitive and not done very well. The clasp is in full working order.
