Introduction: The Jurojin Robotic arm is the pinnacle of my robotic arm collection. The goal with its design was to infuse the shapes of a real human hand into the tech-wear of Neo Tokyo. Each line of the arm was drawn to reflect the future itself and to deliver the feeling of cyberpunk, directly to your own hand. Behind the name: In the ancient Japan, Jur?jin was the god of longevity. Once a myth, now it becomes reality. The borders of imaginations have faded, because in Neo Japan, the gods walks among us. Materials and parts: The design was based on a Dante's Workshop original concept. Our main goal as always was to achieve as high structural strength and stability as possible. The core of the arm is crafted from stainless steel, just like the bolts, nuts and washers for the finger connections. The 3D printed covers and parts are made from a high grade PLA filament. For the slightly used/realistic finish, we used our good old processing and painting techniques that borrows a true weathered look. Our my philosophy: 'As you look at an object, you can immediately tell that it has a story or not' and this one has a lot to say... As previously mentioned, all of the parts can be articulated closely to a real human hand. As an accessory, a uniquely designed stand was created for the arm aswell. Due to its decent weight, it can hold the arm straight and still for ultimate exhibitability. (The arm itself can also stand on its own, if its elbow part is positioned in 90 degrees.)
