Item description

SOUTH OF HEAVEN by Jim Thompson Fawcett Gold Medal Book, 1967 First Edition, Presumed 1st Printing Condition: Very Good- "...[T]he story of a vision, of the men who dreamed it, and of one in particular who was a boy when it started and a man when it ended." This is Fawcett Gold Medal #d1793, the first edition of this Jim Thompson novel, which has been called his last important book. A later printing is not stated, so it is assumed to be the first. The covers are good+ (wear at spine ends, slight spine slant, some other cover wear. Slight writing on front cover.) A small crossed-out address label on reverse of front cover. Pages are very good+, with just slight scratches and soiling on yellow-tinted page edges. Solid copy.
