Item description

A heating / air conditioning (HVAC) shop located at 795 Kennedy Dr in Kankakee, IL. Established in 1940 as an electrical shop wiring homes and selling radios, it expanded to selling large and small appliances and televisions, then began selling Carrier heating and air conditioning systems in the '60s. It was still in business as of mid-2021! The mug is standard-sized and looks to have been well used as the logo has some abrasions on both sides. The printing is a medium blue and red, and there are no signs of cracks, blemishes, or chipping anywhere on this mug. Dimensions: 3 3/4" Tall 3 1/4" Diameter 4 3/4" Wide at Handle A nice memento of a Kankakee business meeting the needs of the community for over three quarters of a century. Just to mention: you may notice in the first picture what appears to be ghost lettering in the upper blue part of the logo. Less noticeable is some ghost numbers in the lower blue part of the logo. The letters appear to be "Camp" and "_A_RO'S." The numbers are "2821." I see no evidence of writing on the white or red areas of the logo. This leads me to believe the printer used a template for the blue that still had slight traces of a previous run of mugs. Maybe piecing together these clues to find the previous run of mugs can be a past time for you if you purchase this cup! The printer identity on the bottom is too far gone for me to ascertain.
