Not exactly sure what could be said about this man that has not been said in the last 160 years but herein Lee Kennett gives it a shot. Well researched and as detailed and insightful as a historical biography of this sort can be. It is a first edition though and a great addition to a W.T. Sherman collection; Shermaniana if you will. The predominant focus is on his infamous March to the Sea.
