L-Mesitran Hydro Wound Dressing L-Mesitran Hydro is an advanced wound dressing that combines the wound healing properties of honey within an advanced sheet-hydrogel technology to absorb fluid and maintain a moist healing environment. A primary dressing for the treatment of a range of superficial wounds such as burns, skin tears, ulcers, chronic and acute trauma wounds with low to moderate exudate. Hydro has excellent fluid handling capabilities and can absorb up to seven times its own weight. The transparent dressing allows visualisation of the wound. When to use L-Mesitran Hydro: L-Mesitran Hydro is indicated for chronic wounds, such as pressure ulcers, superficial and partial thickness burns, venous, arterial and diabetic ulcers and fungating wounds. It is also indicated for acute wounds such as donor sites, surgical wounds and cuts and abrasions. The dressing can remain in place for up to five days, dependent upon the amount of wound exudate.
