Item description

#MEIAZKA Lantana are fragrant natives of tropical regions in the Americas and Africa. These broadleaf evergreen shrubs are drought-hardy in landscapes and cold-hardy to slightly below freezing. Growing in a large mound that reaches 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Hardy Lantana is perfect for use as a specimen or in groupings within sunny landscape borders. It can also be massed on sunny slopes for erosion control. This plant is essential for butterfly and hummingbird gardens, as well as xeriscape gardens with low water needs. Additionally, it makes a lovely choice for growing in large containers that can be placed on decks, patios, and other outdoor living spaces. A cold-hardy variant of the ever-popular 'Miss Huff Hardy' Lantana features a smaller growth habit and abundant clusters of bicolor pink and yellow flowers from late spring to frost. Butterflies and hummingbirds will thank you for planting this drought-tolerant and easy-to-grow perennial in USDA Zones 7b to 11. North of 7b, plants can be grown in pots that may be overwintered indoors and placed back outside when temperatures warm in spring. Growing tips: 1. Space plants 3-4 feet apart for solid hedges and mass plantings; allow 5-6 feet or more for space between plants. If grown in containers, ensure these are spaced adequately so each plant receives airflow and sunlight penetration to the soil level. 2. Pinch once upon transplanting. 3. Water at the base of each plant in the morning, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.
