I think it would be easy to wood fill the chips and re-spray the pole silver if desired. The box , as shown in the photos, is in well worn condition. The instructions were not included when i bought this, but i've found them online. The info includes that "the branches are made of top grade stainless bright aluminum, guaranteed against tarnishing of dulling under normal use and storage. Being made of aluminum the branches of the Silver Glow tree are of course completely flame-proof." Other tips include to not trim with lights or heavy ornaments, handle the stems by the bottom wire; that includes putting them in the paper sleeves in the direction of the needles and take them out the same way.
