This is a vintage Celtic jam dish, Made in England. The elegant Mid Century serving dish is composed of two separate pieces, a metal caddy with finely engraved flowers and an elaborate frosted glass dish. The metal appears to be silverplate but I cannot find a marking to confirm composition. The caddy is marked, "Celtic - Made in England" beneath the spoon holder. My mother used this lovely serving piece as a Nut bowl, Sugar or Mint Dish. It has been in our family for as long as I can remember and believe it dates to around the 1950s. The spoon is missing but can easily be substituted. The dish is in great shape, with the glass free from breaks or cracks. The vintage mint dish measures about 6" and 6" wide.
