Item description

This is a vintage, Mid Century etched glass Ashtray featuring a very elegant, feminine rose design. The Mid Century design is very similar to that produced by popular designer Dorothy Thorpe for upscale department stores starting in the 1930s. The lovely smoking collectible is not marked. I inherited this piece from a lady who would have shopped in that kind of store during that time frame. It has been in my possession for more than 40 years. The vintage glassware could be used as an ashtray or as a jewelry or trinket dish. The piece is in great shape with the exception of a small chip on one corner. (See photos). I didn't notice the chip until I inspected it carefully. The antique piece of tobacciana measures about 4" x 2.75" x .75.
