A few small tears but only minor browning or age spots, not bad at all for a fifty year old paper. The Ledger-Star was the afternoon paper for the Norfolk area and as such had fewer pages than the companion morning paper The Virginian Pilot but you get the more updated information with the afternoon papers which although prevalent are a bit less common than the morning ones.
