Item description

Description: Muller Freres (Muller Brothers), glassworks in Luneville, France started in 1895 specialized in lighting, art glass, cast glass, etching and enameling. Signature dates the piece sometime after 1919. There were a total of nine brothers who worked at one time in the glass industry some working for Galle, Val St. Lambert and Sevres. They ceased production in 1933 and eventually closed in 1936. Shade is in very good condition, no chips or cracks. Due to age there are some very light surface marks that can be buffed out, but to even find this item is rare in this condition and hope I purchased so many years ago. This shade is from my personal collection. which I've had for over 38 years. Has been packed away for 20 years. It was made around 1910 - 1920. Glass pate de verre bowl and is signed: "Muller Fres (frรจres=brothers) Luneville". Muller Frรจres were the most famous glass makers in France early 1900! Lovely warm colors in the Pate de Verre: from blue to orange and very warm when lighted!!
