PE Pipe Insert Coupling 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" Polypropylene - Boshart UPPC-15 (2-PACK)
The Boshart Industries UPPC-15 1-1/2-inch polypropylene insert coupling is a lead-free, NSF-listed fitting engineered for reliable, leak-free connections in buried cold water distribution systems using polyethylene (PE) pipe. Designed for insertion into the ends of 1-1/2-inch PE pipe, the coupling creates a secure, pressure-rated joint without the need for glue, heat fusion, or mechanical clamps ? simply insert the pipe into each end and secure with a compatible clamp or crimp ring (not included). Constructed from high-purity polypropylene, it resists corrosion, chemical degradation, and UV exposure, making it ideal for long-term underground use in potable water applications. Rated for 160 psi and temperatures up to 73.4F (23C), it meets ANSI and NSF standards for safety and performance in residential and municipal water systems.
Features
- Polypropylene construction resists corrosion, UV degradation, and chemical attack
- Insert-style design allows direct insertion into 1-1/2 in PE pipe for fast, tool-free assembly

Product Application
The Boshart Industries UPPC-15 insert coupling is used by water utility contractors, irrigation specialists, and municipal installers connecting polyethylene (PE) pipe in buried cold water distribution systems. Ideal for residential service lines, rural water systems, and agricultural irrigation mains, it provides a durable, code-compliant joint that eliminates the need for expensive fusion equipment or mechanical fittings. Its insert design simplifies installation in trench environments and ensures long-term reliability in soil conditions where metal fittings would corrode. Professionals specify it for its NSF certification, pressure rating, and compatibility with HDPE/MDPE pipe ? delivering the confidence of a safe, leak-free connection that withstands the demands of underground water systems over decades of service.
