Why do we use 6 mil vinyl: For years we used 3 mil vinyl, a standard for many sign shops and decal producers but have found that 6 mil hold up long and provides an easier application for customers. If you are buying decals and aren't getting them from us ask your provider for 6 mil vinyl and not the thin 3 mil stock which is prone to stretching and distortion. A decal that was made on the other side of the world typically sits in a warehouse until it's shipped to the U.S. in a container ship and then sits again in another warehouse sometimes for months. The adhesive used for a quality vinyl is a pressure-sensitive adhesive and hardens over time. Our vinyl is always kept in a climate-controlled space to preserve the adhesive.
