PYRANTEL Pyrantelum 250 mg, 3 tablets FOR PARASITE Pyrantelum 250 mg active ingredient is pyrantel. It is an antiparasitic drug for adults and children from 6 years of age. Action This drug works on the muscles of the intestinal parasites. Immobilized parasites are removed from the intestine by peristaltic movements of the intestines. Pyrantel does not irritate the intestines or make the worms travel. It affects mature forms and early-stage parasites, but it does not affect the larvae during their migration in the tissues. Dosage: The drug is in the form of tablets and is intended for oral use. Use the preparation as recommended. Depending on age and weight, the following dosages are used: Adults weighing more than 75 kg: 1000 mg; adults weighing less than 75 kg: 750 mg. Children 2nd – 6th years of age: 250 mg; children 6–12. years of age: 500 mg, adolescents after the age of 12: 750 mg.
